
The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO) recently elected new officers and board members at the 2019 IARW-WFLO Annual Convention in Santa Ana Pueblo NM.
IARW is the leading association for promoting excellence in the temperature-controlled warehouse and logistics industry, and WFLO is the association’s education and research foundation.
Andrew Janson, president of MTC Logistics (Baltimore MD) was elected as the 2019-2020 chairman of the IARW Board of Directors.
Other new IARW officers elected for the coming year were Vice Chairman Ron Buford, president and CEO of Premier Refrigerated Warehouse (Fort Worth TX) and Treasurer Manuel Kabana, director of Friopuerto Investment (Valencia, Spain).
New directors-at-large members elected to serve three-year terms on the IARW Board include Piet Meijs, vice president of business development for NewCold (Breda, The Netherlands) and Tim Siddiq, president and CEO of Merchandise Warehouse (Indianapolis IN). Regional representatives include new board member Tim Ludwig, president of Bradner Cold Storage (Langley, British Columbia, Canada) representing the Pacific region, and re-elected board member Tony Leo, president and CEO of RLS Logistics (Newfield NJ) representing the North Atlantic region.
Mauricio Barrera, director general, Basal (Monterrey, Mexico) and Jason Dreisbach, president, Dreisbach Enterprises (Oakland CA) were re-nominated to serve three-year terms.
Don Dick, owner and CEO of Dick Cold Storage (Columbus OH) was elected as the 2019-2020 chairman of the WFLO Board of Governors.
Other new WFLO officers elected were Vice Chairman Brian Beazer, CEO and general manager of Winchester Cold Storage (Winchester VA) and Treasurer Dan Kaplan, chief executive officer of Cloverleaf Cold Storage (Sioux City IA).
New board members elected to serve three-year terms on the WFLO board include: Justin Chan, VX Cold Chain Logistics (Shanghai, China), Ken Whah, president and CEO of Hanson Logistics (St. Joseph MI) Jeroen Tempels, managing director, Eurofrigo (Rotterdam, The Netherlands)
Michael Jahncke, Scientific Advisory Council chairman for WFLO (Hampton VA); Brian Kyle, president, Burris Logistics (Lakeland FL); and Steve Tippmann, executive vice president of Interstate Warehousing (Fort Wayne IN) were re-nominated.
